Located in the confines of the exclusive Windsor Club, a community, designed by renowned New Urbanists Andreas Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, this project entailed the interior design of a two-story, three-bedroom home, and courtyard guest suite.
The home, inspired by the resort like ambiance, combines lush materials, casual furnishings, and a soft palette offset by punches of color to create a relaxing, sophisticated retreat.
A double height gallery with soothing views of the expansive terrace, pool, and walled garden beyond greets guests as they enter the home. Carefully planned to incorporate the clients’ love of contemporary design and reverence for vintage pieces, deftly designed areas flow with ease from one to the next. Custom millwork in the office area also allows ample opportunity for work, which can be easily hidden within dramatic ceruse oak cabinetry.
The second floor provides the family with a private enclave, while still allowing gorgeous views and abundant light. An upstairs mezzanine acts as a common area for the three bedrooms and showcases an organically shaped Kagan Skulptur sofa. The master bedroom suite includes an outdoor covered terrace overlooking the tranquil garden and pool below.
