In the heart of the trendy Flatiron district, an existing landmarked 19^th century neoclassical building is crowned by a new innovative brass and glass tower. The overall design approach of these two structures fuses the craftsmanship of a bygone era with sophisticated modern detailing and a subtle use of luxurious materials.

The striking lobby preserves lavish elements of the original structure, including the moldings, restored and newly highlighted in bronze. Dramatic, intricate bronze fretwork screens frame the space; recalling the original iron work and are offset by sumptuous marble, shimmering metallic columns and bespoke walnut paneling. Overhead, a dazzling chandelier of subtly hued glassine orbs by Groves & Co. presides over the tableau.

The amenities floors offer residents a multitude of luxuries in supremely elegant settings. The 50’ saltwater pool and adjacent whirlpool are accented by book-matched marble walls and augmented by a wet sauna, rain shower, and marble-clad private changing rooms. Softly shimmering silk glass partitions separate the wet area from the Yoga Room and Fitness Center, ensuring tranquil spaces for relaxation. Other amenities include a library lounge with full-service catering kitchen and playful children’s area.

The grandly proportioned residences, ranging from two and three bedrooms to penthouses, astound with a sublime approach to pre-war detailing. There is a graciousness to the entire experience at 287 Park; repeated juxtapositions of hard against soft, light against dark, create a language of dichotomies carried throughout. Each unit features a marble foyer with wood paneling, wide plank European oak flooring, and opulent marble bathrooms. The kitchens are furnished with oak cabinets, metal accents of striking bronze and handcrafted hardware. Thick slab marble counters are finished with a custom edge, and state of the art appliances compliment the old-world-meets-modern scene. Throughout the building, Groves & Co.’s custom sleek champagne brass plumbing fixtures and stunning new lighting collection are showcased.
