The complete renovation of this pre-war pied-à-terre overlooking Central Park created a graceful setting of serenity and sophistication — the finished space is a glamorous, refined aerie in the sky.
To open the living space to the glorious views, a cramped second bedroom was removed. The space was also completely reorganized to provide a spacious walk-in-closet, a pantry, and much needed storage space. The new kitchen features white lacquer cabinetry and mosaic marble tile, while the baths maintain the restrained detailing in travertine.
The carefully selected period furniture, furnishings, and artwork mingle with the custom millwork fixtures and fittings, and provide a tranquil respite from the bustle of the client’s daily life. On evenings and weekends it serves as an enchanting backdrop for entertaining as the lights of the streets twinkle far below.
